Recap & Introduction
A little too late, but nonetheless
Hello readers.With the launch of a new identity for this blog, it seemed appropriate to make some introductions and add context - especially for new readers. I am Priyans, and my day job is running ActiveBuildings, where I’m a co-founder. We primarily help our clients maintain great indoor air quality in their offices and homes. I bought an MG ZS EV in late April / early May 2022 and within 3 months, I’ve driven over 10,000 kms!
This blog was inspired by Tesla Bjørn’s Google Sheets and his impeccable analysis about the data that he collects. Similarly, I’ve tried to go into detail about the chargers, charging stops, charging time and the experiences on my trips. The blog will also slowly expand to cover more than just trips. However, I’ll try and remain true to what interests me the most, which is data, user experience and analysis. I’d like this platform to remain open to multiple ideas and a space which facilitates collaboration.
This logo was conceptualised and visualized by good friends Joseph J Ambatt and Sanchayeeta Choudhury. My brief to them was simple: “It should be relatable to an EV driver. The work involves data and taking long trips + analysis. I don't want too many colours, and once someone sees it - they'll know that it is about an electric vehicle.” I am grateful for their help!

From Mumbai, I’ve driven and explored Pune, Gulbarga, Lonavala, Udaipur, Delhi, Goa, Indore and Bhopal! Click on the location names to read previous blogs from those trips. More blogs incoming. Up next will be a trip in South India, which should be exciting!

We also made a short video about our Delhi to Mumbai road-trip. Here’s the link. I also spoke about my experience driving an EV with the good folks at Let Me Breathe on the occasion of World Environment Day. Friends from Goa made a reel on Instagram from the car’s sunroof on the beautiful Parra coconut road!
Side update: Experiences with EVs pitched in support of a local women’s sports team - Goregaon Gladiators participating in Maha Mumbai Kabaddi league.
