So basically cost vice it’s not that different frm a strong hybrid like the grand Vistara 1575 km @30km/l is Rs 3.50 against your Rs 2.30 for recharges. so for a difference of Rs1.20 a km you can drive non stop with a one stop top up as strong hybrid gets 1200 plus on one tank of fuel. Most importantly u have a complete peace of mind without trying to find chargers and without any range anxiety. According to me the future is Strong Hybrids. Toyota and Maruti are going the correct way.

I understand why you think the future is strong hybrids. I don't believe in burning dinosaur juice.

It is a question of what someone wants to prioritise.

I totally disagree if you do the math on the greenhouse emissions of producing an EV, mining equipment, processing the minerals and the leech left from producing the batteries and the coal emissions to recharge a battery, I strongly believe a strong hybrid with a mileage of 40-45 km/ l is more efficient and will emit less green house gases. Toyota’s hydrogen engine also can be a game changer. Unless EV’s can come with a 1200 km (actual) range and a full charge in 10-15 mins they are not the future.
