Exciting updates to EV Charging Infrastructure in India
Welcome to the 2503 release of EVInfra.BI. We made the charger intelligence tool live in September 2024. An update was pushed in December 2024 and now we are back with exciting more updates.

EVInfra.BI is a first of its kind industry tool with the ability to give insights like never before. The tool makes the entire ecosystem smarter and benefits EV customers.
Some of our clients have started using this tool with their network, pricing and operational strategy teams to study their competition. Other use cases are by policy makers to understand how states are performing against each other.
Now that you have an idea of what EVInfra.BI is, let’s see how we’ve enhanced it.
All the features and concepts discussed here are being released to 2412 annual buyers for free, along with the updated data.

New concepts
Jodi Chargers
Jodi in Hindi means pairs. We are identifying CPOs who have mastered the art of setting up chargers within a radius of another CPO and are impacting revenues. The beta version was released to our customers in February 2025.
The concept of Jodi chargers emerged during my Mumbai-Delhi road trip, specifically in Dausa.
Now, you can look at all the 400+ Jodi pairs across the country. You’ll know which CPOs are putting up higher power chargers and undercutting competition in pricing. This is a goldmine for anyone to plan their network accurately. We will be releasing a case study of how competition is undercutting certain CPOs. Keep an eye out.
For example, here are all the chargers by Jio-bp in Uttar Pradesh having a charger from another CPO within 200 meters or so. Let’s look at how Jio-bp is performing in terms of power.

Aggregators
It is confusing to know which CPO is present on which platforms and which of them need a wallet and which of them don’t. True worth of an aggregator is when they can also process the payments for these CPOs. We’ve built a handy chart showcasing just that. There are 12 public aggregators hosting and processing payments for a combined 42 CPOs. Major CPOs like Tata Power, Jio-bp and IOCL maybe present on public aggregators but do not allow payments via these aggregators.
Vahan Registration Data
We’ve integrated RTO level data of all four wheeler electric vehicles. So now you can dive into a region and study the sales alongside the charging infrastructure there. Here’s the sales from some of Mumbai’s RTOs.
Upgrades to existing features
Locality Search
We are no longer restricting the search to major metro cities. You can look up chargers in smaller towns and cities too! Here’s what shows up when I select Bharuch on the tool.
Data
CPOs
We’ve added new CPOs to the mix. We are now collecting data for 49 CPOs representing close to 90% of the market. The last data update had 41 CPOs. If we have missed out any CPOs with significant chargers, then please drop a line to priyans@expwithevs.in.

Collection
We’ve significantly enhanced our manual data collection processes, supported by our growing team and streamlined workflows. We are expanding our team and seeking individuals to assist with data entry tasks. If you're interested, please fill out this form.
Hygiene
We improved data hygiene by checking each CPO app three times. The latest data for all CPOs was collected in March 2025. Our data refinement process identified private, restricted, or captive chargers, and effectively purging them from the database. The rise of aggregator platforms has forced us to be more diligent while collecting the data and avoid duplication!
How do I use it?
EVInfraBI is hosted on PowerBI. If your company already uses Microsoft products like Teams and Outlook, then it is highly likely that you have access to PowerBI. If not, it costs around US$10 / user / month to get access to PowerBI Pro.
You can also sign up with a free Microsoft Fabric Account to get a 60 day trial for PowerBI Pro. It is mandatory to have a business email address to sign up for PowerBI.
