As promised in our previous article, we are back with an update to our EV Charger Hardware tool.
Incase you’ve missed our earlier updates, we launched
2503 EVInfraBI - The only interactive charger intelligence tool in the market
2503 EVTrendsBI - An overarching view of the EV Industry in India
If you are looking to buy any of the above products, I would suggest you buy right away. Prices will go up in May 2025.
Circling back to EVHardwareBI.
EVHardwareBI has the most comprehensive breakdown of who’s selling EV chargers to whom to publicly install charging stations. If you are in the EV ecosystem, you cannot afford to miss this. We launched the first edition of this report in early March 2025.
We would like to thank our early adopters for 2412 EV Hardware BI. The updated data will be pushed to your existing BIs in this week.
Who is buying from whom?
Which Charge Point Operators (CPOs) are using which OEM’s hardware?
Which CPO is using which OEM’s hardware based on power rating?
Which OEMs dominate specific states?
Who is supplying and installing chargers in bulk for major CPOs?
Which chargers are non-working, OEM-wise?
In percentage terms, Bijlify’s 39% of the network is not working, resulting in absolute highest numbers of non working chargers by any OEM. There are some OEMs with 100% of their chargers not working but with fewer number of chargers than Bijlify. Non working chargers can be due to any number of reasons including but not limited to poor quality of hardware to non availability of electricity to no internet on ground.
Here’s another chart where we see which CPOs have installed 120kW chargers by Mindra.
Some more charts for our premium subscribers at the end of this report - see the split of 60kW chargers by OEMs, split of OEMs by all connectors and one non working chart.

🔎 How Did We Collect This Data?
This isn’t guesswork. Our team personally scoured through images of chargers on the ground, matched them with official hardware brochures, and cross-referenced everything to ensure accuracy. No one else has this level of granular detail.
Caveats
The report will be hosted on Microsoft’s PowerBI. You are required to obtain the necessary licenses on your end to view the report. If your company already uses Microsoft products like Teams and Outlook, then it is highly likely that you have access to PowerBI. If not, it costs around US$10 / user / month to get access to PowerBI Pro.
You can also sign up with a free Microsoft Fabric Account to get a 60 day trial for PowerBI Pro. It is mandatory to have a business email address to sign up for PowerBI.
We are happy to train your team to use PowerBI for EVHardwareBI.
The underlying data is from March 2025. It does not include the hardware being used by Oil Marketing Companies - IOCL, BPCL and HPCL. It includes only publicly available chargers by the CPOs covered in this list. It does not include any captive or private charging points.
The word OEM is used lightly here. The definition includes original equipment manufacturers, assemblers, and importers sticking their label on it.
Chargers with both DC and AC capabilities are counted for each DC and AC.
The data in this tool is static and will get an update in April 2025. There are no immediate updates planned after that.
While we’ve taken great care to ensure data accuracy, we recommend verifying the information independently before making decisions. If you notice any discrepancies, please contact us at priyans@expwithevs.in.
