Thanks for sharing this information, Priyans. My dad purchased a brand new Nexon EV 45 empower plus in Hyderabad from Select motors with his hard earned retirement money, and this issue (EV critical error) happened on the same day itself (within 2 kms of driving the car from the sales center, might I add). The representatives brushed it off as a software issue and disconnected and reconnected the auxiliary battery which seemed to "resolve the issue". The car is not even registered yet and we have barely used it and the issue has resurfaced 4 more times (in fast moving traffic - might I add - which was extremely risky). We are extremely upset and frustrated at the whole debacle. We are trying to get a refund / replacement for the vehicle from Select motors since this seems like a factory defect. This is more of a rant, but It'd be great to know if you think there is any possibility of getting a refund / replacement for this car or if you have any other suggestions. Thanks in advance for reading :)

Critical error comes due to the poor quality components used in manufacturing. Specially if the BMS, coolant circulating pump, AC fan motor . These components were purchased from China and at competitive price resulting in poor life. I have faced the issue of AC failure already and got free replacement, but the torchor of driving down to service centre 200 km in hot June month. The information received from the service centre that they have been given instructions to replace these components incase of complaints. It is very obvious that battery is to be kept cooled under 25 degree all time. So when the AC fan fails or coolant circulating pump conks you will definitely get critical error. If the BMS ( Battery Management System) malfunction then also u get critical error. Over and above the service station boys spray water everywhere to clean the car. A drop of water in the connector will bring in critical error. I never allow the service centre to wash my car , which I do personally at home.
